At last, I participate in the Wednesday poetry post . . .
Love is the only bow on life's dark cloud.
It is the Morning and the Evening Star.
It shines upon the cradle of the babe,
and sheds its radiance upon the quiet tomb.
It is the mother of Art,
inspirer of poet, patriot, and philosopher.

welcome to the girls only group!

I've never read much Ingersoll & I may have to make a point of it now... As a random BTW, based off of your favorite bands list, I downloaded a bunch of random Dead Can Dance material & dug it a bunch. Any recommendations for a (shameful) newbie?
Wow!! It is raining like mad, but . . . rainbow!

Happy to hear rain & its rainbows. Sorry to hear of scars, those who've been long black-listed & the shadows they may still cast. I consider myself unusually lucky to have no drama between myself & those whom I've dated in the past... A chunk of my exes I'm still extraordinarily close to, the braced, sushi-eater being tops on that list. Best I can offer is positive vibes & a toothy-smiley face.

I like to go out dancing, however, smokey clubs are guarenteed to make me sick the day after. today when my sister and I were running we ran by a house with a fire in the fireplace- yuck! Smoke! my sister, who smokes was like yay! Smoke!
running on the beach is awesome.

Sushi is the vice of most of my veggie friends... My closest has a series of rules about what she can & cannot eat: cooked-okay, seared-not, etc. Recently getting braces is something else that doubled her list: house salad w/ ginger dressing-great, seaweed salad w/ sesame seeds-not so great anymore.

That's a pretty impressive title!
Great call on The Marx Bros...I'm a very long standing fan of A Night at the Opera! Sorry to hear about your snow's disappearance. Some people around these parts see such dustings as trouble on the horizon... Far more fun to think of it as a brief love letter prior to a hot date (granted, a three to five month long date).

Hi there! *waves*

Yay! Pics are on the way...
Windows into other worlds (like Pacific Standard Time) are pretty neat! Snow...still waiting for the shoe to drop in these parts. I think ultimately it'll be welcomed (as long as I don't have to shovel).

Well, thank you. As soon as I posted that, I went through and checked my friends list, and found more people I didn't know. Now you're on my friends list.

The flu's hit on this side of the nation, too. It knocked me out of comission for a week.
Take care...

I can relate to that completely... I had never had a job in my life or many relationships (for that matter) that appreciated me for being myself and the inate talents that I brought to the table. It's only been within the past couple of years did I try to redefine who I was, what I am capable of, who I wanted to become and what I was armed with to get me there. I still feel that most of those answers change a lot but, I think that moving in a direction, any direction is better than spinning your wheels...dunno.

Holy cow!!! You're back!!!
You should certainly know you were missed. I was crushed to see the first friend that I made here wasn't there anymore, at all. I'm sorry to hear of the drama that visited your doorstep. Even if you decide that your voice isn't suited here, I hope you aren't swayed to silence it altogether. There's something to be said for the need to talk, even if you aren't saying anything, even if you think no one is listening.

Aren't bookstore connections the best!? I used to Asst. Manage a store a couple years back & when I left, there was a wake of employees I had won over by genuinely thanking them for jobs well done or, just done. The cat that runs the show now isn't that detail-oriented so, I'm remembered that much more fondly come checkout.
Thanks for your note back! I'd really like a forwarding address or page to find you at if it comes to that... But, no matter what, it was nice to hear from you.
