*glancing at your movie faves* I'm the only person I know who has had good things to say about 'Dead Man.' Everyone else I know hated it. What a dreamy ride that was, wasn't it?

I wouldn't worry about Paradise Lost. It's got a bad rep from the thousands of high school students who were made to suffer through it at age 17, when they were manifestly unable to either understand the themes or able to catch any of the references. Reading it with some education and experience behind you...you should have no problem (I feel the same way about most of Dostoyevsky's work as well, especially The Brothers Karamazov). As a writer, I think you'll appreciate and enjoy Milton. He has a pretty distinctive sensibility that I think a lot of writers share.

Ah, I didn't notice Sandman on your list when I glanced at it last time. I've been carrying the torch for comics as a legitimate art form for a while now. Magneto keeps foiling by brilliant arguments, though.
