In honor of the Irish on poetry day, I present a little something by Irelands own W.B. Yeats.

The Stolen Child

Where dips the rocky highland
Of Sleuth Wood in the lake,
There lies a leafy island
Where flapping herons wake
The drowsy water-rats.
There weve hid our fairy vats
Full of berries,
And of reddest stolen cherries.
Come away, O, human child!
To the...

I LOVELOVELOVE yeats... for all his tendancy to romanize the irish myths and everything..... (more in the plays than the poems)
"Come! O, human child!
To the woods and waters wild"
He's just delicious....

here is some more:

242: A Dialog of Self and Soul

my soulI summon you to the winding ancient stair,
set all your mind upon the steep ascent,
upon the broken, crumbling battlement,
Upon the breathless starlit air,
Upon the star that marks the hidden pole;
Fix every wandering thought upon
That quarter where all thought is done:
Who can distinguish darkness from the soul?

yeah, there's 70 morelines of goodness, but my fingers are protesting all this typing!

Much love!

p.s.
I went to my mother's house today and found a newly opened bottle of scotch, which I noticed was drunk down a good 1/3-1/2..... hmmmm...
I forgot to ask her if she had anyone over yesterday!!! smile

and the veggie stuff that i was referring to wasn't relly the steamed tofu and broccoly with no dressing whatsoever that i had for lunch frown

I've never managed to slay that demon. Nor even keep it at bay, really. A pity.

Nah, orgasm faces should be shared with the world. A beautiful spectacle.

Good luck with the cleaning.

Hey girlie, hope all is well in Starisea world. Ossaman and I had a great time on his birthday. Okay, yeah...red tea is kinda dull tasting with a very slight undertone of spices. I'm not too into it yet but I think I like it. Atleast I know it's good for me. Know what I mean? I just had a bath and I'm all comfy and cozy. I think I may need a nap.
Take care sweet-heart. kiss

Where do you carry your scars?
VIEW 12 of 12 COMMENTS
rickroyal:
Most of my scars are on my hands. I seem to be very careless when I'm doing manual labor. Cuts, tears, holes, bumps. Some left more prominent scars than others. Some other scars on my legs and feet from being careless, but that's about it.

I'm glad you found Momus interesting. Nick Currie is one very, very odd guy who makes odd, appealing music. I like introducing people to his work.

Sorry about not stopping by of late, but I've been away. And busy. And, well, you know how it is. But I like the new pics you've put up. Sexy thigh and whatnot. Yeah.
arachnequarius:
greetings my beloved. ohhhhh, thank you for the spidery tip. i LOVE nature photography of my little eight legged lovers. soooooo beautiful.

tragically, i have but one real scar, although not for lack of injury. one of my tattoos is also a totem of mine - the lizard. much like the lizard, i regenerate. there are many grisly tales of regeneration, but few of them left pretty scars.

i absolutely love love LOVE scars - i find them incredibly sexy. but every time i get a deep cut or wound - it heals even without care - even the ones i try to reopen so that the scar lives on. gah. i had a second degree burn on my inner forearm that left a gorgeous dark scar 4 inches long, but its all healed now. all the burns? healed. even the scars on my soul have let up over the years and things don't cut as deep as they used to. that i don't mind as much. i do have a super fucked up skeleton that includes a trick hip, but its just not the same.

my one remaining scar is from a fire poker that opened my knee in seventh grade - practically to the bone. riiiip. oh, and the lead from a pencil i jammed into my leg. at least i am clumsy, so i am perpetually bruised.

your body map sounds very, very beautiful, inside and out.
