They're the ones who apprehend the suspect and gather the evidence. My job (whatever it may be) comes in a lot later.
I've only been to a couple of very small Ren Faires. They weren't particularly good experiences, more because of the people I was with than anything else. (It's hard to relax enough to have a good time when your "friends" are just repeatedly embarrassing to be around, and not in any kind of cool fun way either.
) Someday I'd like to give 'em another try, but since I also live in bumfuck nowhere I don't know when that may be.
