well the league of extra ordinary gentlemen is a odd movie, it's defenitly not good because it's filled with plotholes, mistakes, broken characters etc but at the same time it looks gorgeous to see and it's just a lot of fun to watch all these odd characters fight.

there's just a huge number of weird flaws in the movie, like dorian gray is invernerable but in one big fight he get's totally shot up, his clothes are ripped apart etc, since he can't die he kills everyone and his wounds slowly heal back but two seconds later in the same room his clothes are in one piece again as well like nothing ever happened. (they didn't "grow back" like his wounds it was just a continuity mistake.)

mr. jekkyl and doctor hyde was the worst character of them all, mr jekkyl is supposed to be the pure concentrated darkness that lurks in the souls of men, sort of like our own dark side that everyone has.
but in the movie he's like this big angry hulk looking creature, even worse is that he's learning about friendship and in the end of the movie he's actually trying to do the right thing, protecting his friends and stuff, that's defenitly not mr Hyde.

anyway that's the kind of stuff that really irks me about the movie how they really go out of character, it's worth a rent at least to look at the pretty settings and laugh at some of the stupid shit going on.
the movie looks gorgeous as long as you don't let the characters bother you.

ooh and i'd love it if i could borrow one of your dorian gray books, it takes ages to order english books here, i'll send it back to you as soon as i'm done reading it.

well one of the many things i'm weird with anyway, i haven't celebrated my birthday in years mostly to avoid people and gifts.

yeah i love storms, this one irritated me though, it was such a pretty storm that i decided to open my windowblinds for the first time in months.
so i start rolling open the blinds and this gust of wind blows like half the blinds of my window...well shit
then i have to practically force the window open and the wind blows a plant of my window sill covering my couch in mud since i just watered it...well shit
then when i finally get the window open the wind throws up one more time and totally blasts me with rain soaking my shirt, kinda fun but still...well shit

and finally, i sit back in a chair with a drink to watch the storm rage in the trees in front of my window and it literally blows itself out in a matter of seconds and two minutes later the sky is blue again...well SHIT!

dutch weather really needs more and longer lasting storms.

i used to have the biggest crush on Morticia Adams, there's this bit in the adams family where she's on a torture rack and they stretch her out and all she does is moan without even flinching her face, that really made me shiver in odd places.
not that i want to rack up and torture married women but Morticia is just plain cool.

as for the maasvlakte, one of my biggest dreams is to learn how to fly, preferably in a hangglider and the only flightschool who actually teaches the basics in the netherlands instead of france or germany is situated on the maasvlakte.
i just can't actually find the maasvlakte and even if i did, the school is actually miles and miles away from the nearest city or bus stop so i have no way of getting there anyway.
i'm thinking about saving up for a short hanggliding vacation somewhere in germany, it would help a lot if i wasn't so anti social.

i'm starting to think that the maasvlakte is some kind of top secret government area hidden deep within the netherlands, kinda like area 51.
i can't find it any nobody knows where it is.

band of brothers rocks, i love the episode with the disastrous assault on the little village when Lt. Speirs just runs across the snow through the enemy lines and back.
that just had me ...wow , the man is insane, that episode ended really pretty to with the bit in the church where you looked back on everyone that died so far, very sad.
i should find my dvd set sometimes, haven't watched bob in a very long time.

and dull is good, i'm nearly compulsively attached to habits, like the girl at the bakershop.
every tuesday i go to pick up my bread, the girl smiles at me, rings up the bread and asks if i want it in a bag, i don't even have to answer because she wraps it right away anyway, it's like psychic shopping.
then one day she didn't ask if i wanted it in a bag and she didn't give me a bag either, that literally ruined my day and upset me because it broke my habit for tuesday!
the same happened when they changed the keypad on the ATM machine at the bank.
i don't mind change as long as it's controlled self induced changed but i feel weird when my patterns are broken.

and that, i think, was my longest post in your journal yet, i'll stop bugging you.
