My father just brought out some old slides of when he and my mother where living in heaven in the seventies (see my pics) and GOD DAMN my parents were fuck'in hot.
He found them, out of the thousands that he has, when he was looking for some of my Uncle Stafford.
Uncle Stafford died two days ago.
Uncle Stafford was a Pirate. Uncle Stafford evaded the US coast guard for many years as a smuggler and was one of the most colourful characters you'd ever want to meet. Definately a man you would want on your side. Captain, Fighter, Father, Story Teller, Chef, Strength Man!
Although we weren't super close he has had a big impact on my life... shit the man probably paid for some of my schooling over the years. And now he is gone.
Sometimes people ask me how I got to be who I am and I say well:
"I was raised by Alcoholics, Drug Addicts, Lesbians and Pirates... So....."
Anyway... Uncle Stafford was a Pirate.... Soo have a tot of Rum for HIM won't you.
