I love the idea that your boss doesn't actually realize how many customers they get at night. I mean, isn't everything computerized so that they can just look at some sort of stats or graphs? Or, the old-fashioned way - looking at sales figures.

I can't believe you actually posted an entry and I didn't see it for two weeks!! Yikes!!

I once got a flat, didn't realize it at first, so I kept driving. Apparently, that damages the car, I discovered.
Years ago, my mom's minivan had a gas guage like that. We had to get into the habit of filling the tank often, for fear of running out, because it would show half a tank, and then suddenly plummet to empty and start flashing the low fuel light.
I dread being without power for days. I've been very lucky that it hasn't happened to me. Other parts of Ontario have had ice storms or wind storms that have knocked out power to people for a week. I worry if the power goes off for an hour.
I have no idea where my candles are, though I do have some. I also have a couple lighters and some matches, but no idea where. And I'm certain I have a couple flashlights. But, yeah, I'd be hard pressed to find them in the dark.

My computer got fixed!! Yay!!! I don't have to buy a new one! Unfortunately, repairing whatever the hell the virus did to it required completely uninstalling and reinstalling windows... so although they managed to leave my antivirus program and most of my files (including mp3s!) on my computer, I have to reinstall seven key programs. I've been having a screwed-up sleep schedule too. Thankfully I don't have too much trouble sleeping even when my neighbours are being loud.

I've worked 57 hours in the last week... plus seven hours today. Eight day stretch. I'm dead. Beyond dead. I've already sat through about 3 massage cycles in our recliner and my back is feeling semi-normal again, if still tired. Now I have two days off to recover a little. More later. I'm going to take a long, hot shower and collapse.
