OK, I got tagged (actually, I begged to get tagged 
) with this 20 random things about me deal. I ran out of things I could think of immediately around #17, so here goes:
20 Random Things About Me:
1) I love motorcycles- if I could afford one right now, I'd be roaring down the highway on my own. This is despite the fact that one fell on me from a standing start when I was very small. I was fine, fortunately, but my parents were terrified out of ten years of their lives.
2) I am a blue belt in Tae Kwon Do. I loved the skills and techniques, but hated getting beaten on and kicked upside the head in sparring matches twice a week. Not my idea of fun. However, I've still got one of the best roundhouse kicks one of the Masters said he'd ever seen.
3) People tend to assume my Brother is my child. He does call me his "Second Mama", but if I'd actually been his mother, I would be a candidate for the world's youngest mother. I was nine when he was born.
4) I've never done drugs, never tried drugs, never even tried smoking. My drug of choice is caffeine.
5) My worst fear is burning alive... and yet, my profile pic
I still love fire.
6) I was the official bug slayer for an entire floor of girls when I was living in the dorms at school. My secret weapon: a shoe.
7) I love comic books and the mythology surrounding them.
8) I can sing soprano, alto, and tenor.
9) I would love to live on the coast, but won't move away from my family for a few years yet.
10) I love growing things (i.e. plants), but seem to have a black thumb.
11) I've never had a broken bone
12) I've actually stabbed someone who was trying to steal food off my plate
(Don't worry, it was with a fork, and no blood was shed)
13) I reached my full adult height in 4th grade.
14) Two days ago, I put a pot holder in the freezer. I do things like this often.
15) My eyes are weird- they change color according to what I wear and what color the environment around me happens to be.
16) I'm the only biological child on my Dad's side of the family.
17) I'm an oldest child, and was an only child for nine years, yet I am a laid-back, people-oriented peacekeeper- personality traits typical of a middle-born child.
18) When I read, I concentrate so intensely I won't even hear if someone tries to talk to me.
19) The only foreign country I've ever been to is Ecuador.
20) I enjoy shooting guns, although I've never shot anything save inanimate objects: paper targets, cans, milk jugs, the like.

Adopted children aren't biological? Again I ask - are they androids?
I don't buy into any birth-order stuff. Too many people don't meet the generalizations. They're as bad as astrology.
You're right about life and success not being straight-forward. If I had gone to university right out of high school, I would have majored in political science. A few years later, when I actually did go, I majored in psychology. So I realize that life doesn't always go as planned, and there's nothing wrong with that either.
I know you have people who love you, and I laugh with you, and sometimes at you, and only want the best for you. And I know there are people in my life like that too. And it's greatly appreciated.
I don't know where this path in life is taking me, but I keep going down it nonetheless.
