OK, somebody is blowin' something the fuck up outside. Should I hide? Kinda freakin' me out. I've got a question: A lot of people seem to refer to the holidays as being an exotic form of torture... specifically being around their families. Here's a shocker, tho. I actually enjoy being around my family most of the time. Am I some kind of freak? I mean, my Mom can get a little too nosy sometimes, and My Aunts on my dad's side almost always fight when they're in the same room (which is why one lives in IA, and the other lives in AZ) and I always feel really akward around my skinny, insanely successful cousins, and I can't discuss certain aspects of my spirituality with my very Christian fam, but overall... it's really not that bad! I only recently found out that having an extended family that gave a crap about you was fairly unusual... so I may be out of the loop here. If not for the unconditional love I get from the vast majority of my family members, I wouldn't have kept my sanity (mostly) and I may not be here at all. I know that's kind of pukeworthy, but it's true. Is this really unusual?
