So, yeah. Partied Thurs. night. I made my own fun. Friday I kind of laid low... ate zucchinni casserole and played with the kitties. Josh left that night, and they usually sleep in his room so I was going to let them sleep with me, but they seemed more interested in tearing the place apart and pouncing on my head. I kicked them out around 5 in the morning. Next day, I slept in, packed up, and headed to the Grandparents to see my Uncle and his fiance again. Sunday, I took my brother back to the grandparents where we proceeded to tie into a big meal. I hadn't eaten or had anything to drink yet that day, and my stomach cramped on me. Suddenly, my heart was pounding, I felt lightheaded, all the color washed from my face, and I broke out in a cold sweat... I thought I was gonna go facedown in my spaghetti. I have a history of food allergies, so my family immediately panicked, and wanted to take me to the emergency room. I was inclined to just lay down and ride it out, because I wasn't having pain in my throat, or trouble breathing, like I remember having during bad allergic reactions. But, my lack of color, and being cold to the touch despite my sweating really concerned my mom, and she drove me to the hospitol... I had cold and hot flashes the whole way there, but by the time we got there, I was feeling better. The doctor knew it wasn't a reaction, he said I was having a "vasovagal syncope"... basically a fainting spell, probably brought on by my lack of food and water that day. They ran blood tests on my blood glucose and electrolytes, and those were normal, so they sent me home with papers on what happened to me and how to prevent it in the future interesting day.
I'm not the fainting type, and nothing like that has ever happened to me before. Hope it doesn't happen again, but if it does, I'll know what to do
