Had some fun last night. One of my roommates, Josh, had some friends of his over. I feel comfortable enough around my roommates now that I went ahead and threw myself into the festivities. We drank for a while, listened to music, played poker. Joked around and picked on each other and laughed ourselves silly. Made the mistake of letting my roommate Jason mix me a drink, and wound up getting a tall glass of a kamikazie (sp?)mixture with only a splash of coke. Damn, that was strong, so I was feeling no pain, or cold when we walked down the street to one of the downtown bars. We had a few pitchers of beer there, and I wound up having two shots... Josh bought a round of shots, and one of the girls wussed out, so I had hers, too. Got into a really deep conversation with two of the girls, both named Anna, which I think only myself and the brunette Anna remember. They'd had their own share of problems, and were in the process of dealing with depression themselves. I realized that Jason had told one of them about me, and apparantly has been really worried about me. A month back, I would have been annoyed he had spoken to a total stranger about my problems, but now, I'm just glad to know that someone cares. Talking to the two girls made me feel a lot less alone. We wrapped things up around 2 in the morning, and walked home. I was a lot more steady on my feet than I expected to be, considering I had never had that much booze before in my life! We kept the two girls who had been drinking at our place, and I was downstairs taking care of the strawberry-blonde Anna while she got sick. I slept on the couch down there so I could keep an eye on her. I guess there was some hooking up going on upstairs. But, on the upside, I was the only one who didn't have a hangover today Serves 'em right.
