LOL You know what's worse than spendnig a lot of money on schoolbooks? Is when you never use them!
I've bought sooo many books the past couple of years that Ive barely glanced at purely because they were 'suggested' reading and were never actually directly used in the curriculum ( I usually find this out at the end of the unit).

*sniffff* Tis the last day of my holidays today. Back to TAfe on Monday. They went so fast, I had a really good time though.
