was in the valley last night. had dinner with my brother who's leaving for Japan real soon. World tour. I'm so freaking happy for him - he deserves to get out and see the world.
was at ric's - saw the sailors. Love those guys. it was a great show - very crowded and a lot more of the older crowd that I'm familiar with. Makes you feel good when some old friends come out.
although - I think in the last few years in brisbane - I've been quite the club drunk. There were so many drunk stories there and now that I'm no longer the drunk - I don't chat with any of the folk - just remember and assume that they wouldn't remember. That's normal isn't it?
I'm starting to enjoy being in Brisbane again. Things are starting to feel - feel new. And that's nice. I'm going to change jobs - and in deciding that I feel better. I start my degree soon - which is most exciting.
Lately I feel like the internet is a another space for gossip and slander. From all perspectives. I'd just like to learn people's stories - and let them have the freedom to share them. So I'm going to make my own website - so that the internet can be about creating to me... Well I'm going to make some pages but I don't know if I'll put them up anytime soon. That's a lot of effort and I'm never any good at following through on ideas. I've got to make a business card website for my artist friend - but I still haven't gotten around to it! Maybe when I change jobs I 'll have the time to get some of this stuff done?...!...
So party at my house next weekend. A wedding celebration for me & Andy (considering the only way we've celebrated was by getting slurpees after getting married) and friends Em & Zac who married in Tas a few weeks ago. I'm theming it - wedding theme - and I hope it'll be fun. Haven't hosted a party in a long time - so should be interesting!
