It has been a while since I blogged. So here's a random collaboration of thoughts regarding SG, life, and whatever my fingertips feel the need to type!
I've been enjoying watching my kitties.
Has anyone else read through the new SG photo guidelines? I thought #2 was a bit odd to include. Tattoos have never been a requirement to become an SG, so I thought it might be a little awkward for the girls who have virgin skin to read. But for those who do, I do understand having as much ink included in each shot.
Speaking of things SG, I've been here since November (7 months) and I have yet to see a brown lady (what American culture considers black) grace the front page with set of the day. I've seen so many great brown hopeful sets that are front page worthy that don't even get past 400-500 likes, and if those aren't getting enough votes to be considered for front page (the magic 1k), then there's no hope for me.. It's a little discouraging. I wonder what the balance for that is? How often do black hopefuls turn pink? Why don't they get a lot of votes? I guess that's just the way things are and I'll just have to work 100 times harder. I saw one girl blogged a while back that she was giving up and leaving SG because what's the point of putting in hard work if her sets don't do well on the site. She was one of my favorite hopefuls too, with 3 sets in MR. Stunning sets at that. I don't want to give up after all the work I've put in.. I've even seen a few brown SGs say they have never been on the front page since their debut set/ or have only one set bought.
I've been doing volunteer work this summer, but I've been having free time to spend with friends.
Well, that's all I can think of to blog! Have a good day if you bother to read these.
Love, DreamStar
