Migraine tonight. Sis had to come and get me, I'm just sure I'm gonna get ticketed where I'm parked.

Oh, joy.

Watched "Amelie" last night, not bad. Very charming. Great contrast to "The Passion of The Christ" which I also watched. I do credit Mel Gibson with that movie. It is very well made. The pieta scene and the scenes depicting the reprecussions of Jesus' death are masterful.

Satan as a woman (in the "Passion"), so elegant on many levels. I dunno if it's the best...

Cue the theme to Donnie Darko and let the spirits pour.
avalon:
i fucking love donnie darko. one of my favorites of all time.

as for the debate- i'm really at odds. obviously i'm partial to biden as a democratic supporter. palin has a wonderfully deceptive way of squirming around the issue at hand and manipulating into something irrelevent. if she perhaps was a bit more straightforward it would be enlightening. i still think she is an idiot. i thought tho- to her credit- that she was a a bit more on her game this time. [probably after being criticized so heavily] in every ignorant, brainwashed rednecks mind- im sure they would say she won. but i disagree. biden's emotional recollection of his wife and childs' death almost had me [and him] choked up. that alone made him the winner in my eye. being real always trumps being a sugar coating bullshitter.

About to finsh with "How the Irish Saved Civilization," I recommend it. I learned quite a bit about Romanized Briton and Saint Patrick. It's very easy to read.

I dunno what's next. Any suggestions?

I watched "Bloody Sunday" today, directed by Paul Greengrass. Wow. It's a powerful film. One of the handful I believe should be mandatory for all American public school kids.

It's official: Sarah Palin terrifies me.

The War in Iraq a mission from God? Not the God I pray to.

Yet another war? With Russia? Is she stuck in the early 80's? Who the hell's gonna fight it, Blackwater, Triple Canopy, Dynacorps? Because our traditional military guys are busy cleaning up the last cluster.

She says she didn't hesitate to say yes when asked to...
