3 quarts of sweat later I feel much better. It does seem like this summer has kinda dragged on a bit though.
grayb:
Summer here has been kind of strange. Several wonderful days but a whole bunch of awful ones. Right now it is raining. Really hard. The yard is already flooded and we have rain forecast for the rest of the week frown

You're right. It may be time for the desert...

Anybody else have the midsummer blahs? frown

What has happened to me lately? I took up Yoga. I have drunk the kool-aid. Yoga is awesome.

I was lifting wieghts and I guess I was doing it hard enough because a big chunk of stuff(not brains) came rolling out my right ear. I bathe and Q-tip regularly, honest.

I am totally disgusted with the lack of class Brock Lesnar displayed in his win...

I've put romance on hold for a while...
I'll be the first to admit that I'm no longer "the catch" that I once was but I don't deserve some of the ambulatory train wrecks I've run into lately.

Speaking of train wrecks, I don't see how the voter's fascination with Sarah P. can remain this high until 2012. At least, I hope that it can't. What a disaster. Such a disgrace.

The blueberries are still everywhere but so is the mold. All things considered, life is good smile

That's quite a view!

I didn't used to have any problems with heights - none at all. Lately I'm starting to. I recently had some really strange vertigo looking over a cliff and on the roof of a building in NYC. Strange. Standing on that observation deck could be, um, interesting.

I totally understand the issues from a business point if view, but I'm really bummed that they're changing the name...

As I understand it, the naming rights were bought and it's going to be renamed

Been really busy for a few days, which has led to being kinda sick tonight. Feels like Royce Gracie has been working on all my joints simultainously.

Nothing to report. Other than I think I'm taking the night off.
grayb:
I overdid it a bit this weekend too. I've been having a bunch of fun but I'm a bit overdue for starting a bunch of projects that I've been putting off. The plan for tonight is rest...

I'm still waiting for the info from my new associates. The wheels turn slowly.

I hope you have a great week. Take care!

I ought to be mowing. Or cleaning the kitchen. Or cleaning out my truck. Instead I'm online looking at nekkid girls. My motivation tank is empty today.
grayb:
It sounds to me you that your priorities are in order!

The craptaceous weather has returned to Southeastern NY. Lots of rain and so much lightning last evening that I couldn't even get online. It didn't seem to bother the lightningbugs, however.

I contacted my new association - they are sending me a bunch of info via smail. They say that they have a manufacturer who gives us steep discounts. I'll wait and see. You're abolutely right about usakilts.com. I checked it out and they are fantastic. I hope that they are the folks I get the discount with...

I appreciate your offer of advice - I'll undoubtably be taking you up on it. You've already been a big help!!

I just bumped a couple of nonfriendly friends. I may have screwed up - you're not showing up among the group of those who remain. As you can see, I've sent you a request. If I accidentally deleted you, I apologize. If we never did the "friend thing", I hope I meet your standards.

Take care...

Disclaimer: This may be a bit disjointed. My sugar is all over the place tonight.

My Nephew discovered fireflys the other night. He ran the grass flat catching, well, trying to catch lightningbugs. He's almost 3. He was crestfallen when he had to get back in the car to go home. His lil 2.65 year old heart was just broken in tiny pieces, so my...

FIREFLYS- in all my thirty-some years I have never seen so many fireflys/lightningbugs! It is gorgeous! In any 10' by 10' space in my yard there's half a dozen. And they're that thick all over. BTW, I was a champion catch and release lightningbug catcher. One got in the house the other night and tormented Luvamoose when we were trying to sleep. I felt the...

I have never seen as many FFs before either. Looking out at the yard at night reminds me of flashbulbs going off in a stadium during a nighttime World Series game. It's unbelievable!

We've finally had three days here without rain. Lots of evil looking clouds, lightning and thunder but nothing wet falling from the sky. I am so thrilled.

Good luck with the workouts! If I don't
a) eat less and
b) work out more really soon there's going to be an awful lot of beached whale sightings along the New York shore this Summer smile

Take care...

Back to work after a Midsummer's vacation. The good news is my body has gone right back to being nocturnal with no problem. The bad news is that I don't have time to almost blow things up, or go to the show, or pee while standing still. I miss the downtime.

Don't miss UFC 100, one helluva card.
grayb:
I spent many a year on the night shift(s). I really enjoyed having my days free. It didn't work out quite so well with a relationship or two though.

I can still visualize that entire episode you recounted in your last blog...

I ALMOST BLEW THE FRONT POARCH OFF OF MY HOUSE!!!

I lit my gas grill about 20 minutes ago and the flames from the grill went down the hose and caught the gas tank on fire. It burnt like a fat candle. I tried to close the valve on the tank with a towel, but it caught fire too. I ended up running to the...
