I immediately recalled seeing Mads Mikkelsen in After the Wedding - I enjoyed that one as well. It would appear that I've watched a couple of other films in which Ulrich Thomsen was featured. I just can't remember him. I was impressed enough by the work he did in AA that I'm going to have to go back and see them again.

I spent time in the day this weekend. It reminded me why I love the farm so much. It's set to rain for several days, but my next days off I am going on a rural American photoshoot.

Now that you mentioned it, I did some thinking about what was truly my first foray into foriegn cinema. I was in sixth grade and my friends and I journeyed into the city to see a French film we'd heard about - featuring Brigette Bardot. I was hooked. Bergman, Fellini, and all the rest came somewhat later...

Ah, Claudia Cardinale I'd last seen her in Fitzcarraldo -I'd watched it and Aguirre: The Wrath of God one Sunday a couple of weeks back. Yesterday I enjoyed her in Once Upon a Time in the West. I own it and love it; your comment suddenly made it a must see!
I'll admit it - it's amazing, even today, how many of my film viewing choices are made because of the beautiful (and talented, of course!) actresses in them.

I couldn't take mine out for a few days recently due to vomiting every time I moved, I was just wondering how long folks have gone.

Just finished a good movie, "Let the Right One In." I recommend it. It's Swedish, so it may be a little bit of a slow ride for some, but I thought it was clever and warm.
Oh! Some sexual stuff is very Scandanavian in it, there's a few bits Fallwell could preach on for a year.

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed that film. I saw a trailer for it, and was impressed and intrigued. It's currently right at the top of my rental queue - I should be getting and viewing it by Tuesday or Wednesday.

I loved it. It works in so many wonderful ways. I'm unable to find any other films by Tomas Alfredson on DVD but I intend to keep seaching.
I've also ordered the book that the screenplay was adapted from. From what I've read, it seems that I'll enjoy it as well.
