Didn't make it through my double this time. Came home sick. I was weaving on the sidewalk, I was so tired. My legs would move but I couldn't hold my eyes open or think straight. Consequently, my sick hours are much lower than I like for them to be.

The gal I'm working on sent me an email about trying to get together next weekend,...

I haven't written in a while for the simple fact that not much has happened. I'm still working very long hours and trying to avoid the flu, handwashing, OJ, etc. The incessant rain has set back fall woodcutting, which is annoying.

The gal I have been trying to go out with sent me a very long email about how busy she is. I dunno how...

The long email sounds promising. It's a test. It's a game. Good luck!

The weather here has turned nasty as well. Frost, rain, sleet and snow. I've been getting outside a bit but it hasn't been much fun. I wish you much success with avoiding the flu. That's one of my main concerns this (and every) autumn.

Go see "Whip It" today! Not only is it about Rollerderby, but it's a fun movie to boot!
eyehatetherain:
i've been wanting to
grayb:
I'm looking forward to seeing that!

Tall (5'11"), thin, long blond hair, gorgeous green eyes.
I just wish that I had taken a little closer look at what was inside.
Who knew...

I glad that you and Luvamoose are well.

Another sign that actually am 17 years old trapped in a thirtysomething body: I really enjoyed "Jennifer's Body." I just delight in Diablo Cody.

She and Joss Whedon need to do a movie together.

All has stalled on the romantic front. I don't know what it up with this gal. I would love to take her out, I think I've made that clear and maybe...

I think Luvamoose may have had Canine Influenza. K9 Flu is cutting a path thru Indiana. She is getting better by the hour, and is almost herself. I am gonna be such a weak parent, my Moose gets a little blah and my heart spills onto the floor. Total wreck.

Luvamoose is much better. Not well, but better enough I'm not worried for the worst. She went out this morning and is eating and drinking again.

Luvamoose is either sick or hurt, I can't tell, and I am coming down with something. Yay.
grayb:
Oh, no!! (x2)

I hope that Luvamoose is going to be okay - and that obiously goes for you too.
My sincere best wishes to you both.

Best of luck with the CDT as well...

Male field journal: Now in regular contact with cute Daycare Teacher. Signs hopeful, but technical details i.e. scheduling a problem. I worry that said scheduling delays will ruin endeavor. Applying maximum charm.

Dating in your 30's as a divorcee' is difficult. Work schedules, child care, etc. are a real drag. Taking care of your children is the most important thing, and I wouldn't want to...

The latest on this gal who likes me. We are at that bullshit period where we can't speak to one another because niether one of us wants to appear over-eager or desperate. Dating sucks. Why can't you be eager to get to know somebody, and tell them so? Noone has come out swinging a committment, so why the stupid dance?

grayb:
Daycare teacher? How can I even think about The Big Blue?

The first two times I saw the film were in theater and on VHS.It was the butchered American release that ended with Jacques in the surface, cavorting with the dolphin. Not Besson's vison at all...

The (director's cut) ending? As I see it...

It's all about Besson's passion for the sea and the life within it and his admiration for the actual people who inspired his screenplay.

Jacques never felt truely comfortable around people - he was "a fish out of water."

His friend (and the only person who really understood him) Enzo has died (and been returned to the depths) and Johanna has, even though she hopes he will return safely, agreed to let him go. He is now free to surrender himself to and spend eternity with his one true lifelong love, the ocean. I consider, it if not a happy ending, a profoundly joyful one.

...or perhaps the dolphin really does swim him to the surface and he lives happily ever after with Rosanna Arquette. It would work for me.
grayb:
Well, there was one other person who needed to set him free before he could make his final dive...

His physical body was the one thing that was holding him back. During his dives, he was able to alter his physiology, slow his heartbeat and exist in a state of oxygen deprevation. He'd reached and then gone beyond physical human limitations. This was his "wake up call" - it was time to take the next step, to go to the next level. To go somewhere his body could not. To become one with eternity.

The DVD is now out of print. I'm hoping that the next realease will include a commentary track.

How did we not know there was gallons and gallons of water on the moon? Where we not there? Did we not drive history's most expensive golf cart there? Did it just skip NASA's mind to dig a damn hole? I want to know how you miss significant quantities of ice on what is for all intents and purposes a giant cosmic dust bunny.

A daycare teacher has a crush on me! Egads people, she's even attractive! Defcon 2! Defcon 2!

So, who's up for an impromtu 3am flea dip at Worm's house?

Yeah, I used the "F" word. Luvamoose and I were laying around watching TV when I looked down to scratch her belly and WAMMO a group of little black speks scattered on her skin.

OH HELL NO. I am extremely live and let live. I'm quite Buddhist for a Catholic. But you DON'T...
