It's a blustery day outside, Christopher Robin.

Seriously, I think the wind just knocked one of my cows down.
grayb:
I wouldn't be surprised... I got blown off the porch by a gust last year and the wind here has been consistently stronger the past couple of days. The big Midwest storm came and went and it and it was really something!

I hope none of the goats blew away.

I love The (original) Prisoner. My TV is not hooked into cable (I'd spend all day watching Giada on The Food Network) but I do get certain shows on DVD. Based on what I've read and what I've been told by fellow fans of the original, this one didn't come close... Too bad, it could have been great.

BTW - the ending of the original series was quickly thrown together when it became apparent that the show was not going to continue. I wasn't thrilled with it. Much in the old programs is admittedly rather dated but they still retain many moments of sheer genius.

I just got bit by a goat.

Can't wait to see how the rest of the day goes.

Luvamoose VS. Lucifer the Goat(he looks like Satan)

The action here at the farm is non-bloody stop.

I'm under the truck changing the oil just now when a hear a thump, a snap, and gravel flying. Not Good. When I say under the truck, I mean it literally. I was fighting with the oil plug and was under the engine, sticking from bellybutton down out...

What was up with that? I figured everybody would be getting along with each other by now. Then again, I guess I do have a memory or two of some rough goatcapades at the petting zootongue

Goat are so awesome. I wasn't kidding (no pun intended) that 'd love to have enough property (and few enough neighbors) to have some someday.

All the best to you - and Luvamoosebiggrin

I pushed goat poop around with my urine stream this morning.

I honestly don't know what you city folk do for fun. Here on the farm, when the goats have dropped their pelletty poopness on the sidewalk and you've had a couple too many Sprites to be out in the cold morning air, you use your Shakira-like pelvic skills along your excellent kidney and bladder...

Ah, you do have quite the life...
My urine-centric entertainment is limited to achieving maximum possible distance while peeing off the porch.
I need to get a goat.

2 1/2 hours, 5 species, and two tree farms later, my Sister picks out a Christmas tree. A tree thoroughly vetted by my family. Including my 3 year old nephew, who ran around in circular fits and starts smelling all the "tismas tees" after he discovered...

Wonderful! And it sure brings back some memories... Don't get me wrong, I have no complaints, I always spend my holidays with wonderful friends - but nothing will ever equal the Christmases (and Thanksgivings and Easters) with my family.

Deck the halls!

I heard Elvis's Blue Christmas on the radio last night, therefore it is now officially the Christmas Season.

Merry Christmas!

I stuck Blue Christmas in as many minds as I could at work and then ran for the door. You can't fight it, the King was never more Elvis-esque and the song is ferociously catchy. Just sing it, you know you want to.

You know...

I miss all of the big ol' wonderful holidays with my family. I hope that you enjoy(ed) yours.

Silent night...........

Last night every human being in this world that I love was laughing and eating and playing games, gathered around the big table at Mom and Dad's (well, my 3 year old Nephew was running in circles around it, but you get the point) and I left them all to go to work in the freezing rain in the dark.

Yup, I was pretty shitty....

Watched the first two Mad Max movies on AMC last night, boy that first one was a masterpiece. As I get a little older I really appreciate the folks who found a way to get their message and vision across without budget and CG and all that crap. The weight of the characters and the visual impact that movie has with what today would be...

I'm thrilled (but not at all surprised) that you're a fan of The Bard! - and I'm very pleased that you and Liathach have met...

I'm glad to hear that Luvamoose has excellent taste as well.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Feeling much better. Funny how a shower and a change of underwear can do that.

Anytime you can sing along with "The Night Chicago Died" you know you're feelin' alright.

Stampedeofworms does what he does to stupid ends, but he does it intelligently.
grayb:
The only way to start the day - or to end one part and begin a better one.

Sing along with it? You shouldn't even remember ittongue
Take care...
