The purpose of this blog is to describe the incredible night I had last night. A friend of mine has recently been trying his hand at stand-up comedy, and last night was the first time I got to see his act It was only the third time he was on stage telling jokes too, and we were all very impressed. Since my friend is so new he opened the show and only got 4 min. However, if he ever plays that show again he will undoubtedly get a full set. His jokes were all very well recieved. The name of the show was Everybody Must Get Steined, named after the jewish comic that headlined, The Steiner. He was god awful, their were handfuls of instances durring his thirty minute set were there was complete silence after a joke, it was awful. All of his jokes were just stoner humor and it was just very very stupid. He wore a pot leaf medalion around his neck and felt the need to say that he smoked on several occasions...

Directly following my friends set was another comic, and she was also really friendly. Here is the joke she opened with. "Everyone give yourselves a round of applause for coming out in the cold to go out and something.I know in the winter I just like to snuggle up and hibernate like a bear in my apartment. I feel a lot like a bear in the winter really, I hibernate.. I eat tons of fish... I viciously murder girls on their periods." She was very funny.

Then the best thing ever happened. They introduced a girl who was a dancer to perform next. I have to say my expectations were not high at all. She came out and was dressed like a pin-up, which is awesome, so I was a little more open to a dance performance. Then she brought out a hula hoop, so then i knew it would at least be interesting... then she started stripping. and it was awesome lol. She was gorgeous and stripped all the way down to panties and pasties on her nipples. It was fantasic, talk about a pleasant surprise. Then a stoner Sublime rip off band played so we left.

Afterwards we went to a bar on broadway just north of Lawrence. They had an incredible beer selection. I had a Bourbon County Stout and an Avery Barleywine. If any of you are familiar with craft beer you'll understand. I. Was. Drunk. It was an awesome night.
