Figure out what you want to study most, then find the best place for it. (I got that backwards and regret it.)

If you don't have a major in mind, then just find the school with the best vibe for you. Get a place and a job near campus, so it's an easy transition when you can afford the classes. Solved! (I know, easier said than done.)
