I am just... argh. mad At, like, everyone and everything. Tell me at what age are you supposed to stop living your life to make your parents happy. When are you too old to cry when they think your decision in wrong? When is the right time to tell them that the you are not responsible for the shortcomings of everyone else?
This whole soldier beheading thing is also wreaking havoc on my emotions. If I didn't have a child, I'd go enlist in the Army right now. Ed makes fun of me. He's all nerdly and into history and war, and maybe I don't know much about Vietnam or WWII but he talks down to me, like I don't know anything. Yesterday I was telling him how I wanted to make a package together from the supplies listed on anysoldier and he says to me "why are you so into this all of a sudden?" Like it's goddamn needlepoint or something. So fucking sorry that I support out troops, honey. Add tha tto the list.
When carilannfugate and I (and the fam) went to South Street a few weeks ago, I saw a girl outside the coffee shop reading a book called "What Liberal Media?" Only recently have I started paying attention to my political leanings, and only recently have I realized they're much more conservative than they used to be. I remember looking at the title of that book and thinking, "what?".
I can't even come up with an example of my confusion that I favor, because there are so many. Just turn on the televison. We, as Americans, take theluxury of expressing our opinions for granted. It's never irritated me more than the people who care more about the Iraqi military prisoners who were embarassed than the fucking American civilian who's body was flown back to the US in two pieces because he was trying to rebuild a tattered nation. Bring out the big guns, I say, and take care of business over there. It's time to stop effing around.
I'm babbling, and not making much sense. I apologize.

first of all youre never too old to cry.

second of all, i am still 100% convinced that the media in our country is CONSERVATIVE. that is why you should get your news from unbiased sources like npr or the bbc. or if you want a laugh, the daily show wink which is more liberal.

its good to be passionate about something, but you need to make sure youre very informed about the issues, else you run the risk of being one of those hotblooded ignorant americans that just wants to nuke the entire region.

i hope youre doing well sweetie smile *mpwas*
