A tiny little crab fell off of my diving equipment three days after I'd been in the water. The little crab was so cute running across the bathroom floor sideways that I couldn't just flush him down the toilet so we got in the car and drove down to the beach to release him. I'm sure he was eaten by a fish or something almost...

I just checked out your gloat pictures. WAAAAAAH!!! Why did I leave California!?!? They say we may melt out by the weekend. I may get to ride to the Colorado Brewery 's Daytona party on Sunday (here in Danbury, CT) if I'm not ruined from my party the night before

I don't actually have any photos of me underwater but all divers look pretty much the same underwater, so just pretend I'm that guy on the left. I'm gonna be inspecting moorings and cleaning boat bottoms again tomorrow morning.

O-kay fine. Let's pretend that the guy on the left is a not particularly famous rockstar and that the girl on the right is a somewhat famous ex-rockstar.

Hey! I think that's ZZ Top...scuba diving! Wow. You're so cool flop.

We went kayaking today. We saw a Sea Lion that was sitting on top of a mooring bouy. He had an orange tag from the marine mammal center on one of his flippers. It was really cool to see one of the critters we might have helped to rehabilitate out there doing his normal sea lion thing. He looked like he was nearly adult so,...

kayaking? Oh yeah..you're not living in the deep freeze of an iceblock. You can actually GO outside. Good for you! When we come out of hybernation I plan to be outside alot and then there won't be much of me on here....

I have heard about those dolphins. They were just deployed to the gulf last week.

Even stranger, this woman has the same real name and nick name as me: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0743211235/qid=1046281538/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/103-8632778-4460643

These past few days, my life has revolved around the van. It has mud flaps that say "keep on campin'". That doesn't really have anything to do with anything but there you have it. I was late to class because I was ordering tires for the van. On the way home from class there was a mishap involving the fact that the van has two...

ah yes, the ferd tank switch. I find it helpful to label the 2 gas filler flaps with a witty bon mot in indelible marker, such as "yes" and "no". This encourages filling the correct, working tank.

Van: I've got my grandpa's van. The same big brown van that towed my grandparent's big ass trailer all over creation back in the 80's. The downside is that it's got a big old 460 cubic inch engine that provides sub 10mpg gas mileage. The upside is that it's capable of towing our entire apartment building. Don't worry, I'm not going to commute in it...

I stole your van.

Ferd Van gibberish:
E150 = half ton, usually 5 bolt rims
E250 = 3/4 ton, usually 6 bolt rims
E350 = 1 ton, usually 8 bolt rims
E250s sometimes have 8 bolt rims too. Look for the GVRW tag on the driver's side doorjamb, if you can still read it. The combined GVRW should exeed 8,000 lb for a E350.

I'm going to get up early tomorrow and go down to the harbor. Then I'm gonna spend several hours in the water, under a boat, upside down. I'm gonna scrape things off the bottom of said boat. I'm gonna get paid for it but not very much. I'm going to think of it as an entry level marine science position (working my way up from...

to quit coding is a good thing. i've sort of done it a year ago after a three months 14 hrs/day job for stupid itv-boxes. now i enjoy sitting in nature, taking field recordings or doing things with people, rather than machines.
and to work with animals in water sounds like real cool thing...

That's sweet of you.

But your profile picture gives me the heebie jeebies. It's like I can feel them on my skin or something. Ooof. Gahh.

We went diving again this morning. Visibility was around fourty feet. That's fucking great (at least for around here). We were stalked by harbour seals (cute little sausage shaped critters... so god damn cute that I just want to punch them and say, "hey, stop being so god damned adorable you cute little fuckers."). We also saw some big ass cabazon and a bunch of...

I'm a student again. It's weird. It's very weird to have a teacher talk down to me. One teacher in particular treats the entire class like a bunch of four year olds. Back in the old days something like that would have pissed me off. Now I just think it's kind of funny.

Don't get me wrong... I like the classes I'm taking. It's just...

Today is a special day. On this day it is appropriate to have a profile picture containing hot duck on duck action.

I started school last night. My GIS class seems like it'll be interesting and I was relieved to find that there are quite a few people in the class that are older than I am. I was having horrible visions of me in...

Ducks are great!! My ex, Gina, had a house goose. It lived in her house and pecked the door when it wanted to go outside and shit. Clara was her name.

That fucking goose was cool...
