In the past week I drove to Santa Barbara twice and stood on the beach for hours long after the bars had all closed. I was waiting for some stupid little fish to come up on the beach to spawn so that I could squeeze the gametes out of them. The little fuckers never showed up. I got eggs from the northern california variety but the snooty little SoCal fuckers couldn't be bothered to actually show up and spawn.
