I got paid to take some people from michigan diving today. I pretended to really know what I was doing and took them out to the only two readily accessible shore diving spots that I know around here. I poked and prodded various marine invertibrates for their amusement and, once we were back on land, bored them with the natural history of the critters that we had harassed. Nobody drowned and they seemed to have a good time. For me, it certainly beat the hell out of scrubbing boat bottoms.
