I made homemade brownies today. Not my recipe but I did make them myself. It smells wonderful in here and there is a warm glow coming from the kitchen. It reminds me of one of the housekeepers we had when I was young. She was one of the warmest women I have ever known. She made this cold (literally and metaphorically) house seem warm and inviting. I miss her dearly.

I wish I had someone to share these brownies with. They are really, really good.
