The baby Jebus always steals my birthday glory. 
Plus I always have to spend the day surrounded by extended family. Blech.
Post Christmas update.
The worst part of this season is the ridiculous gifts I see people give. Some people, especially people in my own family seem to think the more overpriced an item is the better gift it makes. What a waste.
I did receive some very lovely & thoughtful gifts from a few people though. I love getting things that tell me someone really thought about me. About what really matters to me. Rather than how impressive the gift will look to other people.

I never used to believe in ghosts. I guess I still don't, but sometimes I feel like someone's spirit is around. A presence of some type. Probably just my imagination, or wishful thinking. But I'm not going to question it. It's a good thing. It feels right.
