HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!
Yeah...I know...I am slow. It is three days in already and I've only just started thinking about the year gone by. Probably cause I'm meant to be doing my marketing assignment and I am awesome at avoiding work!
A year ago I really was quite a mess. I had an ex who was still making my life a misery and even went to the lengths of threatening me and my friends. I fought long and hard to get back two items, my laptop and tv, both of which I'm using now, win win! Back then I was a pretty shy girl and I did not really even know who I was, I had lost myself to a controlling partner, something I will NEVER do again! I never could have even imagining I would have done the things I have this year. Here are just a few of the highlights!
Making friends. This might seem like a no brainer but I lost many friends while with my ex but now I have the most beautifully amazing group of friends anyone in the world could wish for. I know I would not be on this earth right now if it was not for Jen and Rich. I try and tell them all the time but it usually ends up in a insult battle, I reckon they know though!
Doing a degree. I'm in my final year. Its a struggle and I dont enjoy it but I will conquer it dammit! ha ha
Gigs. I had no idea how much I loved live music until this year! Against Me, Foo Fighters, The Balckout, Flobots, Leathal Bizzle, Metallica, Tenacious D and a crap load more! Love it!
The BMX Masters in Germany. I kicked my random fear of leaving the country in the ass and dragged two girlie friends off to Cologne to watch the greatest bmxers in the world (and oggle bmxer forearms, cause they is gooood!). I met Mat Hoffman and Taj Mihelich and pretty much could have died on my plane home a truly happy bunny. Plus I think that weekend was my summer, its the only real sun I can remember!
London Tattoo Convention. I could not have been more nervous heading up on the first day day to work on the SG. I was super late as my dog had been ill and I'd hate to take him to the vets but I can honestly say I have never met such a bunch of truly awesome ladies in my entire life. That convention is a memory i will cherish forever. Every time I get my tattoo convention mug out for a cuppa tea it makes me grin.
My dad not having alzheimers. He had all the tests cause his memory is so bad. I had nightmares about visiting him in a home and he would not remember who i was. The day he got a negative was a day we laughed at something...I can't even remember what...but that night me and my dad laughed so hard we were both in floods of tears and complete agony, perfect times!
Being an SG and other modeling. Something I was told I was not really good enough for. Well spank my ass and call me nancy but I do appear to be here! I have one set live and the moment, another to come and have found other pieces of work from Birmingham to Brighton and have just had an offer to be flown to Sweden for more work. Trust me...if anyone tells you you cant, its because they dont want you too, so do it anyway!
There are a billion other things that made this year awesome but I would probably lull you into a coma or boredem (if you are now there already!)
