So I am reading a pretty interesting book right now: Self Made Man by Norah Vincent In it, the author talks about how she spent a year disguised as a man. It's a good read, and thought provoking.

One thing I thought was interesting was the things that she chose to do as an observer into the secret world of men: among other things, she joined a bowling team, tried to pick up girls at a singles bar and went to titty bars. (not things that I, a bona-fide male, really do).

It made me think though. If you, gentle readers, could spend some time disguised as the opposite sex, what sort of things would you do?

Here's my list: (don't worry, there is absolutely no chance in the world that I could ever realistically pass myself off as a woman.)

Women's locker room at the gym. (well, duh!)

Go out on a date with a man.

Work with the ironworkers. (I've known some lady ironworkers in the past.)

Work in an (shudders) office/corporate situation. (I think the sexual dynamic would be very different)

Go alone into a crowded bar.

Go rock climbing with an unsuspecting female friend. (again, I think the dynamic might be very different)

Go to a lesbian bar.
