I have to be *very* calm to stand anime, otherwise all the squealing and general noisiness drives me insane.

Eeriest thing about visiting japan - they only dub two american programs into japanese, the rest are subtitled: Baywatch and Jerry Springer. There's nothing more alarming and wrong than hearing these poor japanese translators trying to mimic the angry black women on Jerry Springer... in high pitched Japanese... Fascinating country, full of history, honor, and hello kitty. Then again, we have Britney Spears, so I don't think we can really fault them for their anime.
