Work was super crazy busythe past 2 weeks as we prepared for and went to our annual meeting in Washington state. It is only every other year that we all get to go though. I love it! It is beautiful, the food is great, and it is fun. Although this year didn't beat the last one. Last time, the story goes... I was seeing a coworker ex-girlfriend from DC for the first time in months who was with her new coworker boyfriend. Seeing ex's is always awkward, but more so for her it seemed despite the situation. I hooked up with an Oakland office coworker who I thought was single, but she was secretly dating a married coworker. I didn't know so how was I to blame. That ended up blowing up a little bit the next day. After that I ended up hooking up with a petite, sexy, cute Asian coworker from DC who apparently had a huge crush on me when I was still in DC. She put the moves on me when it was just her and I in the hot tub one night. We spent the next few days having a great time together. Best annual meeting EVER! This time around there was no back story or potential for such drama, but it was still fun. Plenty of partying, hanging out, chillin', etc... the skit I wrote even won 3rd prize int he talent show. Although to be fair the winner is a singer/songwriter with her own CD and second place went to a guy writing his first book. So I feel pretty good about my goofball, low tech, low budget skit coming in 3rd! We were the best of the rest! All in all it was a good time. Good people, friemnds, food and fun! Too bad there was no hook up this year. That would have made it the best EVER! Maybe in 2 more years.
