-Pistolita biggrin

- this is so true

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

"The founder of the model for supermarket tabloid publishing was a man named Generoso Pope. In 1951, as Mr. Pope would readily admit in his own "Who's Who" Biography, he worked for the CIA in their psychological warfare division. In 1952, he bought the Hearst-owned New York Enquirer (he changed the name to The National Enquirer) and started his media empire, supposedly independent of his lone one year stint (or so he claims) in league with Langely. Pope financed the purchase via a loan for twenty grand from mobster Frank Costello, who also happened to be godfather of Pope's children. According to Pope, the loan was at "zero interest." Thus, the beginnings of tabloid journalism have the predictable intelligence/Mafia fingerprints all over the place.
In retrospect, it all makes sense. At the time, the CIA plot known as Operation MOCKINGBIRD was in full effect, an attempt to put it's bloody tentacles over the entire korporate media apparatus, an attempt that has clearly succeeded. But as any expert of Machiavellian plots will tell you, to truly kontrol something, you also must kontrol the alternatives. It should then be no surprise that suddenly the supermarket tabloid popped up, to give the masses a false option of "choice". By being an option that is so easily discredited, it somehow manages to reinforce the "legitimacy" and "integrity" of mainstream korporate journalism. The tabloid also serves for middle America as another kontrol mechanism, the pages filled with a reactionary ideology that is disgustingly racist and sexist, which explains why tabloids regularly have been propaganda mills for the ruling klass. And finally, the tabloids are the perfect place to throw a legitimate story that the elites desire to discredit."

- i love that the cia still doesn't identify all their officers. you never know who is working for them, what they realy do, or why they would be... i could be and you'd never know. you could say that was a hint, but why would i say it if i'm not supposed to? so you would say,"he doesn't or else he wouldn't have said it", but maybe i'm just tho=rwing off the scent. or i'm just freaking you out. either way, No, I Do Not Work For The CIA. And I Never Have.
- Ok, here's a good question: when someone puts "xoxo", are the x's or o's the hug or the kiss? i always thought the x was a hug (like 2 crossed arms) and the o was a kiss (like a round mouth with the lips smooched together). but someone told me no, the x is a kiss (like the lips crossing, hence the x) and the o is a hug (like arms surrounding in a hug). and i still think the x is kis and the o is hug, but someone put xxxx once, and i don't think they meant kiss kiss kiss kiss, so which is it? or is it both? this is really confusing to me now
surreal
- i wanna get the fall guy on dvd. i:ove: that showbiggrin
- so it's 340, and we were supposed to leave at 3, and i was ready, and my grandma comes out at 315 and yells up at me impatiently,"Are you ready yet?" Yes , i say, and then she says," oh... well i'm not quite ready to go." and then goes back in her room.whatever
- so we go, finally, at 4, and i had funbiggrin drank some beer, had some sausage and cheese, then we played some poker, i had a rum and coke, then we had beef roast, greenbeans and rice, then watched Employee of the Month. It was a good nightbiggrin
and my sister and nieces were supposed to be there, but my bro in laws dad is really sick and died and was revived and so my bro in law went to the hospital and spent a couple hours there with his dad, and his dad passed away.frown he'd been really sick for a couple years, so it's kinda a good thing, he doesn't have to live with the pain any more. it's still sad thoughfrown
- george and al's homes: green or no?
- hahasmile http://www.snopes.com/photos/military/crossed.asp
i love snopes.combiggrin
- don't stay up late and read about captured prisoners in north korea and then message with your friend about wanting to be drunk, sad and realizing you have liquor to get fucked up with and you are not is a very sad place to realize you're in... i'm all flummoxed nowconfused

-sunday-
- woukld it be ironic if the sun doesn't come out on sunday?
- my sister texted me this morning, that her husbands brother keeps having their dad revived, so he's not dead. technically. he's completely unresponsive and they spent an hour reviving him last night, but he's not dead. that must suck. i told my sister, and i should remember to tell everyone, DON'T EVER DO THAT TO ME!!! that would sucks worse than death, having to die more than once. hell, he's now died 3 times and been revived and after the last he's been unresponsive all night.frown
it's one thing to revive someone hwo's been in good health, but their dad has been on verge of dying for months, both his kidneys don't work and he doesn't want dialysis or any care at all, and his kid signed him into the hospital months ago to make sure he got his pills and his twice a day dialysis. i hope i don't get sick when i'm old.
- i now have another vote for x's as kisses, and o's as hugs. so far i've gotten 3 responses, 1 for x(kiss)-o(hug), 1 for x(hug)-o(kiss), and one confused. i still go for k=kiss, o=hug.
- a text i got from my friend last night:
her:
I heard u got robbed last nite & da gunman gave you 2 options.... Suck his dick or die. Glad 2 c ur still alive!
my response:
It's all lovin'
her response:
Lmao!
biggrin
- so i watched bring it on, goofed on the internet, then went to my moms and watched the end of the wizard of oz, then dazed and confused with my sis, and ate some spaghetti and cheese, then came to my house and watched mallrats with my sis, then i took her home, and now i'm back, watching movies again. a nice leisurely sundaybiggrin
for dinner i had some sandwiches.

late skull♥
