Portland would be good. Well, lots of places in the US would be good. The list is quite long, on the plus side it'd be worth going through US customs if I was actually going to the US, unlike the last times when I've been enroute elsewhere.

Trying to arrange an exchange trip at the moment though... I think it has to be Minnesota or St Louis (due to exchange scheme rules).

heh. i picked it up from the late great comedian peter cooke. when talking about being trapped on some ice with only bears for company, he said 'strictly speaking, they're not vegetarians..'
