Luxuriating: in 4 days at home. The weather is warming up, Xmas plans are in the works, and the recent panic re my current joblessness is settling down. Life's good. Bring on '06.

Searching: for a good/interesting recipe for home-make chocolates. Anyone?

Loving: making dodgy movies. Could spend all day doing this.

Do you think the ballast provided by the beers will competely dampen the noisy fridge resonance, or will it also need lubrication as others have suggested?

Reckon I have a recipe for chocolate-coated chillis somewhere ... let me dig around.
steven:
No luck with the recipe, sorry frown

However I have acquired an extra-large bucket of water based UltraLube and will apply a liberal quantity to my fridge, all its contents and what the heck the stove as well, per your advice. I hope you're right about this...

Easing: back into being at home. Two weeks in Melbourne = smile love smile

Dealing: with not getting that job either. Seriously, I've never been rejected for two jobs in a row before.

Feeling: a little fragile about it. frown

Considering: moving to Melbourne. There's a place I can live rent free for a year with a garden for the cats and a car to boot. Is that too...

just think about the advantages... how often do you get to have so much time to get the things done that need doing? You'll probably spend the rest of your life working... so enjoy the lull while it lasts.

Can you pay your rent? ... if the answer is yes, then you're fine.

That's my attitude for the time being. Once I start to wonder if I'll be able to come up with the money... then we'll talk

i don't want that place i'll take it!!...lol...

UPDATING: this entry to say I got an interview! Keep those fingers crossed and thumbs held that Sprat may just yet re-enter the ranks of the gainfully employed.

It's next Fri, though so I'm going to be a bit of a nervous wreck all week, I'm sure... surreal

Look forward to hearing good news.

Are you hunting in the academic job market? If so, I can't wish you luck--what you could really use is a miracle.

There should be a smiley or something up there to indicate I mean that jovially and not as a total Mr Downerpants.

theyre all lyrics from refused, the lost patrol, and the (international) noise conspiracy. i have a lot of other text tattoos, too, all over me, and those ones are other lyrics and quotes from books, because im a nerd like that, haha.

did you find out yet?! i hope its a yesss...
lyxzen:
that tattoo is AWESOME! its cute, haha.

the quotes i have are:
"if i cant be beautiful i want to be invisible." (chuck palahniuk, invisible monsters)
"we're behaving like insects" (douglas coupland, generation-x
"war is peace / freedom is slavery / ignorance is strength" (orwell, 1984, of course)

and im figuring out what lines i want from cats cradle, catcher in the rye, the celestine prophecy, and possiblyyyyyy another coupland book, hey nostradamus.

im a sucker for words -- something you can surely relate to, haha.
