Feeling: old. The drag king act I was working on got us through to the next round of competition. (By "us" I mean the performer, technically. I devised the routine, she actually did the thing!). This is good news as the prize is $1000, which is exciting. The theme for next week: Song from a Movie. Should be easy, yes. But looking around the audience last night, I noticed that aprox 3/4 of them were born in the 1980s. So all my ideas re early-80s films as inspiration are likely to go down pretty badly as they won't know them. Hence feeling really old. Bah!

mmmmmm, most drag king like goodness in my own experience has been sort of 80s-y as well. although, do certain movie retain cult status? god - i am old too.
