Reading: Alex Garland's The Beach. It's better than the movie apart from the lack of sexy blood-splattered Robert Carlyle.
Writing: an account of eating at a "Blind Dining" restaurant on the weekend. You know, you eat in the complete darkness to experience how a blind person experiences a meal. Full on. Fun. Really really fun. And only momentarily terrifying.
Working: my arse off with uni - writing and giving lectures; writing and giving seminar papers, marking essays and planning lessons.

Well I have two:
1. A professor at a small liberal arts college where there's an emphasis on teaching, not research. Preferably at Evergreen State College. It's one of the coolest schools ever - there are no letter grades and the coursework is specialized to what you want to do. For a professor, that means that you can teach really cool courses!
2. A cute little homemaker for some hot girl. Seriously. Then I could just do some writing at my own pace, when I wanted, just for fun. And I could clean and cook and she'd be happy.
i'm actually waiting for a new pair to come in that are black on the top and clear on the bottom. they're very hot.
