Shivering: with cold. It's raining outside and I got wet between the bus stop and home. But I like the cold you get when you've been in the rain but aren't any longer.

Shivering: with excitement. I had a good tutorial today - my students really got it and I felt like we'd made real progress. I love when you can see in someone's eyes that a concept is starting to make sense to them. It reminds me of the power of words and ideas.

Shivering: with sadness. My best friend flew out of the country yesterday. We've known each other for 10 years and this will be the longest period during which we've not lived in the same country. I don't like it. Not one bit.
