This week brings big things to Bloody Disgusting
Last year I stumbled upon a website devoted to the next generation of web entrepreneurs and digital advances. This website called www.alwayson.com hosted a free online web seminar about the future technologies, and I watched (or rather consumed) every second of it. They even left these videos online for anyone to watch for free. Some amazing information was to be found inside these videos, about where we are heading towards with entertainment and the new digital ecosystem.
Not one to just sit back and watch, I prompted the higher ups at bloody disgusting to try and get involved. Without hesitation they did, and this year both Mr. Disgusting and I are going to be speaking at this amazing conference.

The link above has the list of the other speakers and Panels involved in this year's digital Hollywood conference. The reason I felt so compelled to be a part of this conference was that we at bloody disgusting are moving ahead towards becoming very involved in all aspects of the Hollywood system. From Film festivals, to web videos, to the news and reporting that you all have come to expect daily, BD is working to get YOU the information you want in the best possible manner. Mr. Disgusting has been a madman when it comes to breaking scoops and following up on the rumor mill that Hollywood horror brings. I have been doing all the video segments and conducting a number of interviews with the players as well.
Mr. Disgusting started this website over 7 years ago, and I have been involved with him for over 3 years of the legacy. The website is built on ideas and the fans, we listen to what you say and try to integrate things into the site. We push our ideas forward into bringing you a well rounded view on what is happening in horror today. And we have in turn become the number one horror news site in the world! (Check our Alexa ratings!). This year we are working towards growing into even better and bigger avenues, you have already seen the implementations of the Blogs and the addition of the games. Around the corner is the addition of the all important horror book genre, and comics as well.
This year is shaping up to be very important to the genre as we are finally all coming together as a huge group of fans, and BD will be there to make that happen even more in the coming months!!
