Gothic vs Hatchetwhat to do???

While in Toronto I received a Canadian exclusive Hatchet t-shirt, it even has blood on the hatchet!!! But the dilemma of a lifetime starts IT'S A GREY SHIRT!!!!! I don't wear grey ugghhh.. But I love the movie, should I wear the shirt or just cut it up and sew it onto a black shirt????

(***Flashback sequence***)
When I was 12 years old I had discovered Bauhaus, and The Cure. They and their music, and even more importantly (at the time) the female fans who adored them, These hot chicks paid attention to me when I wore a Boys Don't Cry shirt. Thus begun the early stages of my spookiness. Actually In 1st grade I was send away to school shrinks for drawing bloody werewolves, then in 5th grade I was sent home for wearing a t-shirt with blood and skulls on it. So its not like I ever had any chance of becoming an Izod wearing "normal" kid. There are more stories like this , but I want to get to the point.

Around 13 years old I had bleach blonde hair that I teased up in my best Robert Smith wanna be hair-do. I had BIG HAIR. I put the metal kids to shame with my hairspray use. And I always wore black. My parents started to worry, why was I looking weird? Why did I want this attention? Is he gay? What is going on with our son? So my mom went to church on one fateful Sunday, and brought it up in prayer group. Asking the fellow women in the ladies group for advice about what to do about me, and my newly embarrassing looks. One woman, who I think was named Ruth sat down my mom and said "Listen, It's just a phase, he will get through it, and he will grow out of it. Just go with it and it will all work out. You know, just be a supportive parent" or something like that.

(Flash forward*** present day)
20 years later. I still wear black every day. Seriously, everyday without exception. My mom has accepted the fact that I am not growing out of this "phase", (but still wonders if I'm gay because I wear makeup and nail polish.). I am pretty sure she despises that woman Ruth. Who told her it was "just a phase".

But back to more important issuesTHE GREY HATCHET SHIRT. I have only wore color for costumes or on dares But how far am I willing to go for Hatchet???

I have 3 different black Hatchet shirts that I wear constantly, and this week leading up to the release of the film into theaters, I will do the same. But tomorrow, just to show how much I love this film and how much you need to see it, I will wear my grey Hatchet shirt loud and proud! That's right I will do it! I will wear clothing that is not black and break this long running streak of black only just to support the film.

Director, Adam Green has made a modern day masterpiece with this film and I hope that you ALL get a chance to see it next week, assuming it hits theaters near you. The only way that we as horror fans can insure that it gets a wider release is by banding together and seeing it on opening weekend. We as fans have this power and if we all stand together and pack the theaters, our dollars and numbers will not go unnoticed. We are doing our best to organize horror fan packed screenings in Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago. Look to any of the Horror sites to find out if there is one near you, and support this film that is a genuine horror film made for the fans.

See you tomorrow in my Grey shirt! And next Friday Septmber 7th at the opening in Los Angeles (wearing black)
