My weekend was....interesting. which i suppose it better than boring? hmm...
saturday my girl roommate (i have four roommates unfortunately) and i decided to go play around in uptown minneapolis. well, my car was out of commission for the day so we had to take the bus. that sounds all fun and good until shit starts going wrong.
it is quite obvious that us two southern girls are still not used to the weather here in the north. according to the weather channel it was 46 outside which is better than what it has been in quite a while so the two of us immediately busted out the cute clothes. no. bad idea. the damn weatherman failed to mention how windy it was and so we found ourselves freezing and trying not to flash people. not easy to do in a miniskirt i assure you. i wanted to get a marker and write "dumbass" on both our foreheads.
we did however find a nice animal shop that sells tarantulas, something i have wanted for quite some time. too bad i was broke. but! i plan to go back. sooner or later...
sunday we went to the minneapolis zoo and "ooohed and ahhhed" at all the loverly animals. we were quite happy b/c many of the animals were actually MOVING! O_o unheard of! it was quite entertaining. i want a clouded leopard...
after getting back from the zoo i decided to take a quick nap before work that night. i awoke later to my manager calling and asking where i was. i hadn't heard/felt my phone go off and had slept through my alarm. crappity crap. luckily my managers are awesome people that, instead of getting angry, laughed at me. ...that's better right?? ^_~
and now off to sleep. yeeeesh. X_x
