Last night went well, even though my jack-o-lantern didn't quite turn out as it should've. I managed to not drink even though drinks were free and it probably would've given me enough of a boost to socialize smoothly instead of awkwardly.
Fortunately, I had aforementioned pumpkin to occupy my attentions and I didn't have to do much pretending to be interested in other people. Not that I wouldn't have been interested, it's just that people expect a response and I'm just in no position to do that. It's hard enough with people I know these days.
L was thinking that it would be cool to have more participatory arts-and-crafts events. I concur wholeheartedly.
