Looking forward to checking out a couple of rock/metal gigs over the weekend, it's been far too long. I'm going to go and see a few local bands in a small pub, have a few drinks and reconnect with what it is like to be a local musician slogging it out on the pub circuit. Should be fun!
Freelance work keeps rolling in which is a nice problem to have, but I'll be happy to have a break for a couple of weeks if and when I hit a quiet patch.
I'm getting the urge to write again and finally finish my fantasy novel off, I'm on the fourth draft and haven't touched it in over six years. It's definitely time to get it done. The runaway success of Game Of Thrones shows there's definitely a large audience out there for gritty, dark fantasy, that's for sure. I put a few sample chapters up on MySpace back in 2007 and had hundreds of positive comments, which was awesome, and some good constructive criticism as well, which was very helpful.
