Today was the dreaded Christmas shopping expedition... something I definitely do not look forward to every year. I'm not into the whole Christmas thing really but as my family is I go along with it to keep them happy. I don't mind catching up with everyone and having a nice lunch Christmas Day, that's all cool, but the whole gift giving thing is out of control. No one ever has any idea what to get anyone else but feels obligated to do so and the whole thing is a bit of a waste of time and money in my opinion. I think next year I might take a holiday to some secluded tropical island and actually sit the whole Christmas - New Year's Eve period out completely and only return when the chaos is all over!
