Once again my Political commentary rant has been rejected by the SG staff. I guess conservatives just don't have a voice on this site. Anyways, here it is:
This is a topic that I've been pondering for quite some time. Illegal immigration and border security is completely out of control. We are jailing the officers that patrol our borders for shooting border jumping drug smugglers while letting the offenders free then granting them immunity. In a post 9/11 America I would think security would be enforced with vigilance. Our ports are not secure nor are our borders and I think its time for the American people to speak up. Illegal immigrants are turning our flag upside down (literally) and waving it in our faces while we sit around and do absolutely nothing about it. As some of you may know I am a conservative but at this point I am disgusted with the way our government has handled this ordeal.
Here are some facts you should know:
- 40% of people in L.A. County are working for cash and not paying taxes.
- 95% of arrest warrants in L.A. are for illegals.
- Nearly 25% of the inmate population in CA are illegal immigrants.
- FBI reports nearly half the gang population in L.A. are illegal immigrants.
- Over 70% of the United States population growth (and over 90% of California, Florida and New York) results from illegal immigration.
- The cost of illegal immigration to American taxpayers in 1997 was, (after subtracting taxes immigrants paid); a net 70 Billon a year.
- 29% of Federal inmates are illegal immigrants.
- The U.S. vs. Mexico: on February 15, 1998, the U.S. and Mexican soccer teams met at L.A. Coliseum. Even though most Mexicans lived in this country they booed through the national anthem and U.S. flags were held upside down.
I may be known as a conservative here on SG but this is something we all need to come together on. The consequences may be dire if something isn't done. There are legit ways of coming to this country as I've met people that have come from worse places than Mexico legitimately.
Grant them amnesty? Has capitol hill started on a habitual diet of crystal meth and booze? FUCK
