I spent about 3 hours today looking at condos since my mother has already found a place and put an offer in. After seeing about 20 places I narrowed it down to one spot. Its nothing special since its a 560sq ft studio but its right on Washington St in South Norwalk. These are all old buildings converted to condos in the early 80's so the architecture is absolutely great. I love the old hardwood and beautiful trim in these buildings. This isn't the biggest place in the world but its within my spending constraints. Only a few things need updating, most of which I can do myself. Either way, I'm psyched. My realtor is going to start negotiating on Friday. I need to find some work soon so I can get back on my feet again. Regardless, here's some pics of the place. Forgive me for the poor quality, I used my old camera.
This is a shot of the main room with the beautiful brick work and wood burning stove.
Another shot of the main room from another angle by the kitchen and hallway.
Bad shot of the kitchen. Its a nice size with a cutout into the main room. Some appliances need to be updated.
Bathroom. I couldn't resist. The tilework is all new but the vanity could use updating.
I just hope things stay on this positive track and part of me wishes she was here to experience this with me. Oh well. Until next time...
