and sometimes life throws you a fastball which you manage to get a piece of it and get what looks like a decent base hit.

what does this analogy really mean? well at the end of last week i decided to test the waters and sent an email to an estranged friend. turns out she really missed me and thought i was mad at her. meanwhile i was just giving her space cuz she had asked for it. kind words were passed back and forth, and tentative plans were made. well it turns out we ran into each other at a party friday night, and let me tell you. the joy we had in seeing each other and hugging was just bone crushing. it was great. and then we hung out 2 other nights afterwards and its just been a really nice thing.

to top it off, one of her friends and i really hit it off. i would be lying if i said i wasn't attracted and interested in her, but i'm a supremely bad judge of telling if a girl is just being friendly or not. either way, i'm giving it a shot and seeing where it goes.
