I learned something today. If you plan to give a lecture using an overhead projector apparently you need to prepare about 4 times as much material as you would if you were using a blackboard.
I prepared 2 times as much and a half hour into my talk I ran out of slides. Fuck. I curse overhead projectors everywhere. Anyway...I also discovered that I can talk incoherently about anything for an indefinite amount of time. Today that skill turned out to come in handy.
Anyways that bullshit is out of the way. No more topological modular forms for me

Tomorrow I'm giving a lecture on how computers play chess. Should be fun. I'm curious to see how it will turnout.
