Finished my first day of my topic exam. It went fine. I did a great job of evading almost every question. Tuesday is my last one. Then I've got years of available procrastination time.

Went to an interesting talk called "Genius, Ellitism and Outreach." It was more of a discussion about sexism in mathematics than it was about the three words in the title. But still pretty interesting.

Saw kung-fu hustle. Good shit right there.

Still more apartment hunting tomorrow.

Update: I've found an apartment. Thank god.

I can kiss my X goodbye in just a couple of weeks. I'm so fucking excited! It's a pretty nice place. I'll have a tiny room but that's fine. I don't really spend that much time at home anyway. It's also closer to more stuff.



Update again: Landlord changed her mind. Even though she said the place was ours and that everything was fine on our applications she then called me and said that she rented it to someone else. She didn't mention that there was anyone else when she told us to come by and drop off the check this weekend. Fucking bullshit. My life is crazy again dammit.
