Today was my sister-in-law Ludmi's wedding. She's adorable, I've known her since she was twelve... Can't believe she's become a Mrs.
Another thing I can't believe? How ANNOYING my in-laws can be.
I can undertand if you want to stop reading, this is gonna be a long rant...
First of all I know they all love and drool over my son, but it was Ludmi's day. She's the one who should get ALL the attention, no matter how cute and new the baby is.
Second, I understand a baby can be difficult at a restaurant, but one thing is being nice and offering to hold him while I eat or serving my dish. Even offering to cut my meal can be quite useful. Actually feeding me in the mouth, specially when I DON'T EVEN WANT TO EAT??? Fuckin' condescending. And if people say "No thanks, I can manage" It usually means it. Please don't insist?
*sigh* I know they were trying to be nice but, what's wrong with these people??? -to be said in a Seinfeld tone- Still the worst is Dan's great-grandma. She probably means well (...probably), but she speaks as if I hadn't spent the last 3 months with the kid.
I'm probably very bitchy, but I hate it when people who sees Dan less than weekly think (or at least act like) they can figure him out, and better than me! And then there's the bossing around, as if i didn't know what's good for him. It's always "do this", "don't do that", "he's too young for that", "be careful with whatever". At least I can solve everything with a simple "His pediatrician says it's ok".
Then there's the childish jealousy. I'm 24/7 with him, if he smiles and talks back it's usually at me (did I mention I'm the Mum?). And I talk to him in whatever language is comfortable to me... He's incredibly lucky to have a chance to be bilingual. REALLY. Oh, and the fact that he enjoys being with me (instead of people he isn't used to) doesn't mean he's "mummy's boy". It means he's not even 3-months-old yet.
I'm such a bad mother that he's growing up twice as fast than other kids, and is developing quite fast too.
*Sigh*. So yes, my set went live. YAY! I know it took me a lot to write anything about it but bear with me. I hope you've all liked it. Just don't get too excited about my looks, that set is more than one year old and as you can see in the picture, I look completely different now.
Boo, I miss the purple hair.
And being slimmer. Boo Hoo.
