Oh, this week... Tiresome it's been. Thank god it's over.
This week I had this important deadline at school. I spent from 3 to 4 days working on the assignment, I hope I can pass.
This week I also had a job interview, but it didn't go too well. I might complain about how poor I am and all, but if I'm working with someone I have certain demands. One of the most important ones is about not willing to rush if I can prevent it.
So no new job. No biggie.
Instead of the usual friday night watching movies or playing videogames with Rock (because Lalo usually goes out on friday nights), tonight I'm blogging with a huge glass of grape juice from my old room in my parents' house.
My parents won these tickets for the Swan Lake on the theatre, and as my brother and his girlfriend are going too, it's up to me to stay with my granny.
Who knows how long it's been since Mum and Dad have gone out and for ballet, which they just love! It's nice to know they can go out once in a while. Specially Mum, who's always inside (and I happen to know how Granny can drive her nuts sometimes).
So I'm officially granny-sitting. And cat-sitting too, since I'm also taking care of the cats.
I would say taking care of a 96-year-old lady -who doesn't look a day older than 75- is easy, but it can be scary. She's had strokes in the past, and although I'm prepared to deal with it, I'm hoping not to have any surprises tonight.
But even worse than scary can be the fact that she worries. I suppose it's because she just doesn't remember things very well, but instead of asking me "What time were they supposed to arrive, again?" she goes "They should have already arrived!". And there I go, telling her it's okay and that she has hothing to worry about... Which lasts only for a few minutes until she forgets and starts worrying again.
When I grow old I want to go to a geriatric house. I know how hard it can be dealing with old people, and if someone is going to have to deal with me, I'd like to know they're being paid for it. Not that I'm expecting to be paid for what I'm doing, but when I get old I know I'm gonna be such a pain in the ass...
So that's it for me tonight. Tomorrow is Hikky's birthday. I bought her some pink hairdye, a key-chain and a cellphone strap with little pandas. If everything turns out fine, there'll be a pizza-party at DS'.
